I’ve been traveling in Saudi Arabia on my bike and recently finished a 6,000 km trip. I am planning to stay in Medina for a month, is there any Saudi System Dynamics Association or related friends who would like to exchange ideas about traveling in the Arab world. I’ve been traveling by bike mostly in Saudi Arabia, UAE and China. In Saudi Arabia I have been offered water and food by locals and other Muslims from the Arab world and Central Asia/Africa, and have even been offered free accommodation. Of course I am a Muslim (Chinese). I am curious about the behavioral structure of the hospitable traveler, and I would like to understand and depict this model in more detail. Also since I am from China and have never traveled abroad before, this is the first time, so naturally my mental model was impacted by the fact that I could use my past prejudices (old mental model) to actually come to a new environment and meet different people every day and receive different information and feedback.
I also have an idea to study TOEFL and Arabic in New Cairo, Egypt for a period of time, estimated to be two months, starting from mid-August, I’m still in Saudi Arabia, I hope to be able to communicate with local friends, or experts who know about models related to personal behavior to ask for advice, thank you very much
